Phono Preamp
with PCL 86 Tube

A tube phono preamp gives exceptional reproduction of analog records.

Through mono construction crosstalk is non-existent resulting in transparent and open reproduction. Old records will be heard in quality which was impossible before.

Through theuse of the PCL 86 tube a low impedance circuit is possible. This allows the phono preamp to be set away from the main amplifier in its own shielded enclosure. Long cable length between the phono preamp and the following stage does not degrade the sound due to very low impedance and high current output.

The power supply, power transformer  and all AC carrying lines should be separate from the phono preamp.

A well filtered high voltage and DC heating supply and proper construction in a shielded enclosure is very important for maximum in noise reduction.

On the PCB space is allowed for Moving-Coil-Transformer R-110 along with required compensation network enabling easy connection of a MC system.
