For highest pleasure in hifi listening

In principle the power supply lines are open antennas catching
all electromagnetic waves more or less. Through the increasing use
of hand held telephones and radio services of all kind of types,
the electric line power is something else but no more spectral pure
sine wave. Innumerable frequencies in most different compositions
and with different energies are coming along. Among other things,
the power plants use the power lines for the managment of their
relay stations, data transfers, and more. The power lines are also
used for data transfer of computer networks in local areas.
In view of the fact that the power line carries more and more interferences
which may come into the hifi equipment, the pleasure of listening
to the music will be disturbed. Proper constructed power transformers
have a static shield between primary and secondary coils which is
filtering a lot of these disturbances. All power transformers provided
by -EXPERIENCE electronics- have static shields. But more filtering
is very often nescessary.
The damping frequency of most of the power line filters is 10 kHz
or higher. This filter damps all frequencies which are higher than
800 Hz. It can be inserted easily between power outlet and hifi
equipment.
The maximum load depends on the maximum current handling of the
filter chokes. For most hifi equipment 6 A are sufficient.
It is absolute nescessary, that the metal case of the filter is
properly grounded. Also only safety parts may be used, which are
standard in the kits.
